Sweeteners
In addition to animal proteins causing a shift toward an acidic urinary pH, the second culprit seems to be sugar. So far the only useable sweetener is tupelo honey. Foods prepared with any other concentrated sugar causes urinary pH to swing toward acidic, a secondary rise in cholesterol, and oftentimes triggers a migraine headache.
